Rest. Recharge. Connect. Forest Therapy Walks (aka Forest Bathing) deepen our relationship with nature and ourselves. November 3rd brings us midway through the busy fall season - take a few hours for yourself to slow down, be present in body and mind, and allow the forest to restore you. If you've been feeling the need for some self-care, the need to jump off the hampster wheel, or the need to boost your health with the many benefits of a forest therapy walk... this experience is for you! Expect a slow moving 2.5 hour walk in Harold Parker Forest, stopping along the way for several forest therapy invitations. Invitations help to open our senses, become mindfully aware, and deepen our connection with the natural world and each other. Benefits of Forest Bathing/Forest Therapy Walks Include: ~Decreases stress and anxiety ~Calms overactive thinking ~Restores focus, positivity and vitality ~Increases creativity ~Promotes Relaxation ~Stabilizes blood pressure ~Increases cancer fighting cells ~Increases immunity ~Reduces negative thinking ~Increases pro-social behaviors A detailed email will be sent after registration with directions and a list of what to bring/expect. Please reach out with any questions! *This is a non-strenuous walk, but partcipants will need to walk 1.5 miles over some uneven ground, roots and rocks. We will have periods of sitting, standing and walking.
