Fun Fall Fridays

Program Description

Fun Fall Fridays is a 6 week nature immersion program for First and Second graders. Each mini-adventure aims to increase your child's weekly time outside, tap into sensory exploration, ignite curiosity & wonder, and have hands-on fun in nature. PROGRAM OUTLINE Fridays 9/25-11/6 (NO class on 10/30 due to a prior commitment) 4pm-5:30pm** **times may shift to 3:45-5:15 towards end of October/Early November due to earlier sunsets Each week we'll spend 75-90 mins exploring a new NA location. For example: Weir Hill, Stevens Estate, Half Mile Hill, Glennie Woodlot, Carter Field... Each week parents receive an email with location and directions to the meeting spot. *Though this is geared to 1st and 2nd grade, if your child is older/younger but the other sessions don't work for you- please still reach out and we can see if it would work to fit them in! Activities may include: -exploring streams and mud -building forts and cairns -crafting nature boats -scavenger hunts -nature obstacle course -leaf crafts The interests and curiosities of the group, along with weekly weather, drive our plan for each week. By allowing freedom to explore, the kids' own sense of wonder and love of nature will soar! PLEASE CONSIDER BEFORE BOOKING: *this is an active program, *ability to walk 1 mile is necessary *kids are outside for 75-90 min in fall weather - hot/cold/rain/mud *ability to FOLLOW DIRECTIONS / BEHAVE cooperatively / execute SELF CONTROL are necessary for group safety (Please read the Code of Conduct expectations on the Policy Page before registering) *Any child not able to conduct their behavior to meet the expectations, will be asked to leave the program for the safety of the entire group *Please note the Cancellation Policy as well https://www.natures-pace.com/policies
