Program Description

Let's welcome summer with 4 days of exploring in Harold Parker Forest! Each day we'll discover a new trail adventuring around ponds/streams, climbing through the rock quarry, playing team forest games like roving hide 'n seek & tug-o-war, and scrambling up and along the many fallen trees. These mini-adventures will cover a couple of miles each day, with plenty of stops to refuel, create nature art, and maybe even build a fire for roasting marshmallows! Playing freely in the woods and tapping into our sense of wonder, helps calm the mind, increase self-confidence, build camaraderie and feel inspired by the world around us! Being in the woods changes the chemical make-up of our brains, naturally giving us a feel-good boost! This is one BIG reason why unstructured outdoor play is so important for teens! June 20-23 (Rain Date 6/24) 9am - 12:30pm Girls entering grades 7-9 Before the start of camp, partcipants will receive the location and directions for each of the daily drop off/pick up sites in Harold Parker Forest. *Please review the policy page for information on cancellations and code of conduct.
