Program Description
Week 5: August 11-13 Grades 1-3 9:00-12:00 Each adventure aims to increase your child's weekly time outside, tap into sensory exploration, ignite curiosity & wonder, and have hands-on fun in nature. Being in the woods changes the chemical make-up in our minds, naturally giving us an energy, mood and confidence boosts ! This is a BIG reason why unstructured outdoor playtime is so important. Activities may include: *Rock painting *Exploring streams and mud *Building forts and cairns *Making worm jars or bug hotels *Crafting with birch bark *Scavenger hunts *Creating a nature obstacle course *Bug hunts *Bark boats and races *Forest hide n' seek *Tug o' war *Catching (& releasing!) fish & frogs *Solar S’mores The interests and curiosities of the group, along with weather and trail conditions, drive our plan for each week. Nature's Pace believes in the philosophy of child-led play. By allowing freedom to explore and create, a child's' imagination and sense of wonder can soar! Because of this, each week looks different, allowing you to sign up for multiple weeks.
