Program Description

Adventure Mondays is a 7 week nature immersion program for 1st and 2nd grade girls and boys. Each mini-adventure aims to embrace all that spring offers! Tapping into sensory awareness, developing a sense of place in local forests, igniting curiosity & wonder, and having hands-on fun in nature. PROGRAM DETAILS Mondays 4pm-5:15pm 3/25 - 6/3 (No Class 4/15 & 5/6) Each week we'll spend 75 mins exploring a new NA location. For example: Farnsworth Trail, Osgood Hill, Rolling Ridge, Half Mile Hill trails, Rea's Pond... Parents receive a weekly email with location and directions to the meeting spot. Activities may include: -exploring streams -mud painting -building forts -crafting nature boats -scavenger hunts -bug / salamander hunt -clay creations -making journey sticks The interests and curiosities of the group, along with weekly weather will drive our plan for each week. By allowing freedom to explore, the kids' own sense of wonder and love of nature will soar! PLEASE CONSIDER BEFORE BOOKING: *this is an active, multi-age program *ability to walk 1 mile is necessary *kids are outside for 90min in spring weather - damp/cold/rain/mud *ability to FOLLOW DIRECTIONS / BEHAVE cooperatively / execute SELF CONTROL are necessary for group safety *Please read the Code of Conduct expectations on the Policy Page before registering *Any child not able to conduct their behavior to meet the expectations, will be asked to leave the program for the safety of the entire group
