Program Description

Let's GO WILD and get back to nature! Each day our crew will hike a new Forest trail in Andover/North Andover covering a couple of miles exploring the ponds, forest forts, glacial erratics, wetlands and dams of the area. Campers learn a bit about the history of the land and we'll get aquainted with current wildlife residents: frogs, snakes, salamanders, oh my! Activities May Include: *Forest hide n' seek *Tug o' war *Nature obstacle course *Scavenger hunt *Catching (& releasing!) fish & frogs *Boat races *Roasting marshmallows All activities will be dependent on weather and trail conditions. We'll take plenty of rest stops to refuel, hydrate, and enjoy the beauty around us! Detailed directions to our daily locations and a "what to bring/wear" list will be emailed in early August. When deciding if this program is right for your child, please consider: *this is an ACTIVE , MULTI-AGE program *ability to walk 2 miles in humid, summer weather is necessary *kids are outside for 3.5 hours in summer weather *ability to FOLLOW DIRECTIONS / BEHAVE cooperatively / execute SELF CONTROL are necessary for group safety *Before registering read the CODE OF CONDUCT on the Policy Page There are no refunds if a child is excused from camp due to breaching the Code of Conduct.
