Program Description

Let's welcome summer with 4 days of exploring in the Forest! June 24-27 (Rain Date 6/28) 9am - 12:30pm Girls entering grades 7-9 Each day we'll discover a new trail adventuring around ponds/streams/wetlands, scrambling along the many fallen trees, and playing games along the way. These mini-adventures will cover a couple of miles with plenty of stops to refuel, create nature art, and maybe even build a fire for roasting marshmallows! Forest activities may include... *roving hide 'n seek *tug-o-war (or tug-o-water!) *sling shot competition *nature obstacle course *egg drop *sponge relays *boat races *campfire and s'mores (or other campfire cooking!) Playing freely in the woods and tapping into our sense of wonder, helps calm the mind, increase self-confidence, build camaraderie and feel inspired by the world around us! Being in the woods changes the chemical make-up of our brains, naturally giving us a feel-good boost! This is one BIG reason why unstructured outdoor play is so important for teens! LOCATIONS / DIRECTIONS In early June, partcipants will receive an email with the location, driving directions and what to bring/wear for each of the camp days. BEFORE BOOKING, PLEASE CONSIDER: *this is an ACTIVE program *ability to walk 2 miles in warm, damp, or cool weather is necessary *kids are outside for 3 hours in summer weather *ability to FOLLOW DIRECTIONS / BEHAVE cooperatively / execute SELF CONTROL are necessary for group safety *Please read the CODE OF CONDUCT EXPECTATIONS on the Policy Page before registering *Review the policy page for information on cancellations
